Project scope

Located in 570 acres of picturesque North Bedfordshire countryside, Keysoe International is a world-renowned equestrian centre and elite training facility that houses one of Europe’s largest all-weather cross-country arenas.

We were honoured to be tasked to provide a durable fencing solution for the outdoors arena that would match the venue’s country feel and provide safety for the riders.

Fencing specifications

European Hardwood Robinia was chosen for the arena enclosure for its durability and rustic look. Robinia is the hardest European wood species. Due to its high density this wood can be installed without treatment and has an expected lifespan of 25 years.

We installed nearly 600m of Robinia Cross Country fencing that features the premium continuous top rail for rider and horse protection and strategically placed beams to provide a secure barrier.

Norton’s expertise

This unique installation required handcarving each piece of timber to fit the arena’s design. We delivered a robust solution that met the Client’s requirements for horse and rider safety whilst honouring their countryside heritage.
