Project scope

Karlswood Stables, owned by Irish Olympic medallist Cian O’Connor, is one of the world’s leading showjumping yards. It was Cian’s dream to build a state-of-the-art showjumping facility, and we have since installed 32 turn-out paddocks, lunging and training facilities, a sand and grass arena as well as 2.5m tall jumping arena totalling to nearly 7,000m of fencing.

Products used

Show jumping sand arena: 3 Rail Royal Tropic Safety hardwood with retention boards to keep the sand from spilling over.

Grass arena: Royal Tropic Safety with continuous top rail for ultimate rider and horse safety. 

Border fencing and larger paddocks: traditional pressure-treated creosote fencing for cost-effective and reliable fencing complemented with tropical hardwood gates for ultimate durability. 

Loose jumping area and stallion paddocks secured with 2.5m tall softwood boarded enclosure and corners away from the mares.
